Privacy policy

This policy explains how Gun Room handles information in the iPhone app and on gunroom.app.

Your records stay on your iPhone

Gun Room keeps your armory on your iPhone. Firearm and ammunition details, round counts, maintenance records, range sessions, photos, and 3D scans are stored locally. The app does not upload them to us, and the app does not require an account. There is no automatic cloud backup or multi-device sync. Backup files you export are not encrypted; keep them somewhere you trust. Deleting the app removes its records from that device, although device backups may retain a copy.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only when you choose to scan a firearm into a 3D model, and the scan stays on your iPhone. If you add photos, the system picker shares only the images you select, and they stay on your device with your records. Gun Room does not access your location, contacts, or microphone.

Purchases

Gun Room Pro is sold through Apple. Apple processes your payment; we do not receive your payment card or Apple Account details. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases, restore them, and tell the app whether Pro is active. To do that, the app shares with RevenueCat a random app user identifier created on your device, your purchase and subscription transaction records from Apple, and basic technical details such as app version, iOS version, country or storefront, and IP address. This information is not linked to your name or email, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive the information you include and use it to respond.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal information, share your collection, or use your information for targeted advertising. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or others from abuse or harm.

Previous Gun Room accounts

Earlier test versions of Gun Room offered sign-in with Apple, Google, or an email code, with records hosted by Supabase and sign-in emails sent by Resend. The current app no longer signs in. Records from those earlier accounts remain stored in our Supabase project in the United States until you ask us to delete them. To request access, export, or deletion, email jerry@vantaomega.com from your account email. We may need to verify ownership before acting.

This website

This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or a mailing-list form. Vercel hosts the site and processes technical request information to serve and protect it. Email links open your email app; a message is sent only when you choose to send it.

Children

Gun Room is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
